SPANKY, HAVE YOU EVER EATEN LARGE QUANTITIES OF FOOD OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME TO THE POINT OF DISCOMFORT?

IF SO, IS THIS A COMMON OCCURRENCE?

He will deny it, but I'd wager he does this more days than not.

Nobody could maintain a weight close to 600 pounds without consuming a ton of calories on a very regular basis indeed.

I know that question wasn't directed at me, but it happened a few times in my youth, and perhaps as a young man.   I outgrew it.

Maybe 35 years ago, we men would go to the House of Prime Rib and order the Henry VIII cut in order to be macho.  That didn't last long.

Since then, eating sensible quantities has been the norm.  Tonight was Woody's night, so we had one chicken thigh each and some Au Gratin potatoes.

Even at the Olympic Club dinner buffet, don't stuff yourself.  Those that don't follow that advice are easy to spot, and why they don't fall over forward, I don't know.

Sure, this happens. Not a lot. Maybe once a week.

It would depend on what you classify as "a ton" of calories. Caloric intake is not proportional to weight. You don't need double the calories to support double the weight, for example.

Well duh.  Never get between Brian and a buffet table.  You will get crushed in the stampede.

You probably need 9000 cal a day to maintain 600lbs.  That's 3.6x the average of 2500 cal a day for the average male.  I bet you eat nearly 20k a calories a day though, don't you?

Someone already gave me that diagnosis and put me on meds for it. I talked about it a few years ago in my “legal meth” threads where I described the drug they put me on. It’s a cousin to meth and is also used for treating ADHD (in much lower doses).

I eat under 3500 calories the vast majority of days.

Over 6000.  I am sure you get there more than once a week on average.

Yes. I am sure once a week I come near 6,000.

I would wager anything you average twice a week over 6000 calories whether you realize it or not.

Bullshyt.  One does not get to and stay at 600 lbs by slightly overeating.  Play with various online weight maintenance calculators.  The few that I used predicted that a 500 pounder needs to eat 4500 calories per day to maintain his weight (they won't let you enter 600 lbs ).

You are packing away 5000+ calories daily, son

You'd think I'd be tired of threads about a 600 pound man denying he eats all that much...but somehow it never gets old

Re: SPANKY, HAVE YOU EVER EATEN LARGE QUANTITIES OF FOOD OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME TO THE POINT OF DISCOMFORT?

I have known a few people who were over 400 lbs.  All of them ate food all the time- junk food, fatty food, anything but healthy food.  Get into work stuffing themselves with fast food for breakfast, eat a big lunch, eat candy and chips all throughout the day, slam sodas all day, eat a dinner that's big enough for two grown men.  It was disgusting gluttony.  One does not get that fat by eating moderate portions, or even indulging a little on a daily basis.  One gets to 400 lbs (much less 600 lbs ) by grossly overeating all the time.  You're in denial, fat man.
