Another warm San Francisco day!

The new caulking on the front stairs looks so good, I want to do it ALL!  If you recall, I did a bunch of scraping and repainting on the worst spots, during the last couple of weeks.

Chipping away at the old caulk is tough - it seems that a lot of it is 1927 hard caulk - and it takes a lot of paint away with it!  Here we go again!

I have about 2/3 of the area scraped and washed down, ready for wall caulk and primer tomorrow - IF the warmer weather returns!

They said it wouldn't be there today - but they were wrong.  They predict cool weather tomorrow, but they did for today!

I see that spent hours sharing the BEST his imagination could come up with.

If it warms up today, I'll hit the walls I scraped with 30 minute wall smoothing caulk, then out comes the primer.  Then the finish paint.

THEN, the whole point of the operation:  Caulk the terrazzo steps, for a moisture proof seal.  The non paintable bright white silicone caulk makes them look great and well maintained!

Re: Another warm San Francisco day!

The wall caulk has been applied.  That is fast drying paintable caulk that softens the lines of the scraped paint.  It is fully cured and ready to paint in 30 minutes.

Primer goes on in a few minutes.
