So breakfast plus snack was 1060.  Lunch was 1540.  That gives us 2600.  Does this mean a very sensible 400 calorie dinner?

I haven’t actually had the shake yet. Going to remove it. I ordered a dessert from GrubHub.

So that is all you are going to eat for dinner.  A dessert from GrubHub?

Yeah.  I've successfully lost weight eating mcdonalds, as long as I kept under my calorie quota.

You're good.

By his own admission he is 582 pounds with diminishing mobility.

If that is your idea of being "good", I hate to imagine what you'd consider bad times.

You keep thinking quality matters. It doesn’t. Only quantity matters.

So having had such a significant quantity of food up until now, this must be a VERY small dessert you're having for dinner, yes?

Re: Starting Diet Weight = 582

I started a part-time gig as a trainer at a local gym (I already teach yoga there) about two weeks ago. In that time, I lost about 3 pounds without even trying.

But of course I don't eat like an animal anyway.

True. But you do have the thought process and emotional development of an animal.

What's the point when you failed to report what you ate after lunch on Friday anyway?

This is one thing I think often gets conflated into one concept. Eating healthy and trying to lose weight are two very different things. There is of course overlap, but losing weight is usually calorie in / calorie out.

Spanky has been surprisingly honest with his diary in the past.

Most people I know who keep a food log tend to leave off the accidental bag of doritos.  Spanky writes it down faithfully. That's why it's so fun to read

In Spanky's case that's the easiest approach. For relatively healthy people, the quality of food starts to matter as you try to optimize health.

That’s why I worry that it will throw me off track because I am OCD about it and it takes effort to enter everything religiously. Not only entering it but also ensuring the accuracy. I have had more than one argument with Lori about her needing to be better about keeping track of the amount of ingredients she puts in dishes she makes. She cooks by eye / feel / taste as opposed to recipe and exact measuring. So she will tell me some like “I don’t know, a cup; maybe a cup and a half.” I’ll be grrrrr, enter it as 1.25 cups but never be at ease about it because I don’t know that it was precisely accurate. So with all they I worry that it leads to failure as I eventually lose the discipline to keep up the precise diary every day.

What a load of horse shyt. Lori makes McDonald's, Starbucks and take out pizza. 3500 cals a day and you pretend to worry about a half a cup .

This troll is so lame.
