What if I made you a mod with full access to our PI database? Could we go back to being friends again?

On 9/11 I was living in Boston and working for a high tech startup, writing web frameworks in java. I was listening to Imus in the Morning after the first plane hit. I had remembered that an aircraft had hit the Empire State Building once accidentally, so I wasn't overly alarmed.

Then the second plane hit, and I knew it was a terrorist attack. I got up and took the train to work, as I had no internet at home and wanted to post on FC. I remember all the lost financial folks on their way home in the train station. Everyone was in a daze.

I got to work and my posts on FC are still visible today, thanks to shlomo who stole all the FC content from Spanky who in turn stole all the FC content from TheSlur

Some people did some things 18 years ago.

I was balls deep in a plump blonde housewife from suburban Chicago.  Her husband thought she was "at work" but in reality we were in the backseat of my G-Wagen parked behind the Golden Corral

I was having breakfast. My business “friend” called and told me to turn on the TV any channel. This was right after the first plane hit. We both knew right away that this was a terrorist event. We chatted on the phone wondering what was next and watched the second plane hit. Then I told him he better go home. His office was in mid-town and he had a stunning but terrifying view. I never had any thoughts that the buildings would collapse, so I was taken back by that but I wasn’t familiar with the design of the buildings at the time. He lost friends that day.

Re: So, what were you doing 18 years ago today on 9/11/2001?

The night before was an FCSF gathering, so I intended to sleep in.  My antenna installing partner at the Office Of Emergency Services (OES)  called me and woke my ass up early.  The TV reported that a plane had hit the WTC, but few details.  My Mom had me take her to the ATM, because to her, it was "Pearl Harbor all over again".

I was summoned to the OES Incident Command Center, like all hands were, with their Ham radios in tow.  There, we were issued city radios and assigned as backup communicators at many different critical locations.  I was assigned to SFPD Operations / Plans.  It was interesting watching PD operations AND them planning for what was going on in the next 12 hours.  They KNEW what any potential troublemakers were even THINKING of doing, as soon as they thought of it.

Like the rest of the country, we had the TVs on all day, watching the carnage unfold, live.  There was a lot of shyt happening that was never mentioned again.  Like the busses that carried grounded passengers from several flights.  The cleaning crews were finding discarded box cutter knives in the busses.  This was before anyone knew what box cutters meant in the incident.  You never heard anything about that, did you?

My duty lasted well into the evening, until I was released.   I actually parked in front of the Hall of Justice all day and half the night, with no parking ticket.

We stayed on alert for a few days, and then turned our city radios back in.

So the thing you need to never forget about 911 is that… I don’t know, who knows, I forget.

What we really need to never forget is that six bagelion Jews were killed by Adolf Hitler and turned into lampshades during the Holocaust.

That’s the real never forget.

And because of that, we must give money to Jews – forever.

Tough shyt.  I was in a position to DO something that day, I had a duty to do, and I did my duty.  As an Anti American, I can see where that would offend you.

Re: So, what were you doing 18 years ago today on 9/11/2001?

Among the thousands of people murdered on that day, there were 343 martyred (White) New York City firemen. While everyone else was fleeing the burning, collapsing World Trade Center, these 300 modern day Spartans were marching up the WTC. Thousands of years ago, 300 White Spartans faced the dark, swarthy Asiatic hordes from hell. The 300 Spartans of old gave their lives to save Western civilization from destruction, or worse, Asiatic slavery . The 300 + FDY Spartans did the same on Sept 11th 2001.

Every single regular person I speak with from Serbia, Poland, Russia or Japan agrees with me about 9/11/01 – just keep these as bad as they get ugly, hateful, murderous Islamic Arabs, Pakis, Turks out. They can’t mass murder us in our country/countries if we don’t allow them to flood in to our country/countries.

I did.  YOU WERE THE ONE WHO ASKED THE ORIGINAL QUESTION.  I took all day, in the back of my mind, formulating what I was going to say.  It was a life changing day for me, and the world.

BUT, if you don't like my answer, you could supposedly ban me and silence my voice.  You can make it a closed liberal hub, like DU.  Then, be HORRIFIED when the general public disagrees with your bubble, and re-elects PRESIDENT DONALD JOHN TRUMP!

It's only a matter of time until he starts banning people because of their political views.  I suggest you register your moniker on F196 now just in case.  If someone has taken it, the admin will likely give it back if you can prove who you are by posting a message here.

Ban you? For being a blowhard and a pompous dolt? If I did that there wouldn’t be anybody here.

My interest in this board is entirely technical with the goal of the technical achievements being elimination of spam, PI,  meth posting, shyt posting, CP, etc. I have no interest in curtailing offensive speech.

That said you DID blowhard about 9/11. Nobody else did. I’m not going to let you slide on that. But you are certainly free to continue to post shyt that makes you look like an self-important  fuq if that is what you want.

I’m a grown man, Tom. I stopped playing fireman when I was about 8 years old. So, sorry if I don’t know a truck from an engine.

What I know is that firemen are humans and no better than anybody else on average. Some of those fuqing qunts saw an opportunity to use their position to enrich themselves in s situation where they knew they wouldn’t be accused let alone caught. They just didn’t know the building was going to collapse on them and entomb them along with the evidence of their crime.
