1300 deaths justifies 3.3 million unemployed workers?

The collapse would have happened no matter what.

But without these measures, many more would have died.

Wait for what? For everyone in the US to get the virus anyway, and then be unemployed as a bonus?

Trump may own the lack of virus response, but libs own the economic disaster.

Its the virus that cased the economic collapse. And Trump is responsible for the federal government.

Hardly. Shutting down all of the businesses caused the collapse. And the country did not have to be shut down as a matter of course.

Not shutting it down would have allowed the virus to spread more rapidly, but we are well beyond containment anyway. At this point, the majority of the country will get exposed to the virus, and it's just a question of when. The only thing that could stop it now is if warm weather kills the virus like the flu.

And idiot libs have handed Trump a get out of jail free card. If a shyt-ton of people don't die, then Trump looks like he was right. All of the economic pain will get blamed on the libs, since they went out of their way to screech about Trump not taking the virus seriously. By their own admission, Trump would have sat there and happily done nothing about it.

This is wrong.

Once the virus started to spread, people stopped flying. Then businesses curtailed travel. Then every major event cancelled -- no SXSW, no tech shows, etc.

The economy was in free fall before any shelter in place orders were made.

Complete bullshyt. People lost their jobs en masse when the government started forcing businesses to shut down.
