They are little corrupt island people with hot tempers. They should not be allowed to vote.

Puerto Rico was given a choice to join the union.  They declined.  What do you libbies want to force them in?

Yes, force them in there.

I sure hope so but I am very skeptical of this.

AU gets worked up over the weirdest shyt.  The last liberal island we took on was Hawaii, and that was enough.

Puerto Rico was very Republican for a long time, and in fact, Republicans used to champion its statehood.

I just think it is the right way to treat people, they should either be their own separate nation, or a state. They should choose.

If we get the trifecta they will be made a state along with DC. Four more seats in the Senate.

You should move there. It's all about diversity, tolerance, inclusion and equality. That's why it's the envy of the world.

Re: Puerto Rico has a population greater than 20 U.S. states yet cannot vote in the POTUS election

I saw we cut them lose. PR is a net loss. Granting them statehood would require a lot of funds.

The representation of the people can be made more fair without PR as a state.

And DC needs to be incorporated into it's neighbor state and governed accordingly.

Nah. If we get the trifecta we are going to make them both states and get four more senate seats.

It's fun to imagine getting the trifecta!

Why did the people of PR vote down statehood?

DC is never going to be a state, and neither is PR.  California is about to become a Federal District, under Marshal Law, and lose both senators.

CA will end up split into thirds - North and central, LA and SF coastal, and Southern/desert.

2 of them will be pro-America and one will represent the 'old' California.

They didn't...they supported statehood.

But I say, hold another referendum. If there are more votes for statehood, they get it. If not, they get to be their own country.

Exactly.  Nigeria is not a US State, and doesn't vote in our elections. PR is not a US state, and doesn't vote in our elections.  Djibouti is not a US State, and doesn't vote in our elections.

AU likes to throw nonsense bombs, and look at the reactions.  It doesn't make him a bad person, but strange.
